Cookie Policy

Last updated: 4 September 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how AC TOYZ uses cookies and similar technologies when you visit www.actoyz.uk.

It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains more generally how we collect, use and protect personal information.

1. What Are Cookies and Similar Technologies?

Cookies are small files that websites can store on your device, such as your computer, tablet or mobile phone.

We may also use similar technologies, including pixels, tags, scripts and browser storage. In this policy, references to “cookies” include these similar technologies where appropriate.

These technologies can perform different functions. For example, they can help our website operate correctly, remember your choices, understand how visitors use the website and, where you have given the necessary permission, measure or support advertising.

2. How We Use Cookies

AC TOYZ uses cookies and similar technologies for purposes including:

• operating our online store and providing essential website features;
• keeping track of items in your shopping cart;
• supporting customer accounts and login functions;
• remembering choices and preferences;
• understanding how visitors use our website;
• measuring website and advertising performance; and
• supporting marketing and advertising where you have given the required permission.

Our online store is provided using Shopify, which uses cookies and similar technologies in providing its ecommerce services.

We also use third-party services for analytics and marketing as described below.

3. Your Cookie Choices

When you visit our website, our cookie consent controls allow you to choose how non-essential cookies and similar technologies may be used.

You can:

• Accept all — allow all available categories;
• Decline all — decline optional cookies and similar technologies; or
• Save my choices — choose which optional categories you wish to allow.

Cookies that are required for the website to operate cannot be disabled through these controls where they are necessary to provide the service you have requested.

You can change your cookie preferences later using the Cookie preferences option available on our website.

Withdrawing or changing your consent does not affect the lawfulness of processing that took place before your preference was changed.

4. Required Cookies

Required cookies and similar technologies are used where necessary for our website and online store to function properly.

They may support functions such as:

• maintaining your shopping cart;
• processing navigation through the store and checkout;
• providing customer account and login functionality;
• maintaining website security;
• preventing fraud and misuse;
• remembering privacy and cookie choices; and
• providing other functionality necessary to deliver a service you have requested.

Because these technologies are required to provide essential website functionality or another applicable legal exception applies, they do not always require your consent.

Blocking required cookies through your browser or device settings may prevent parts of our website from working correctly.

5. Personalisation Cookies

Personalisation technologies can remember information about how you interact with our website or choices you have made so that subsequent visits can be adapted accordingly.

Where consent is required for a personalisation technology, it will only be used for that purpose after the necessary permission has been given.

You can allow or decline Personalisation through our cookie preferences.

6. Analytics Cookies

Analytics technologies help us understand how visitors interact with our website.

They can provide information about matters such as website visits, pages viewed, interactions with the store and website performance. We use this information to understand how our website is being used and identify areas that may be improved.

Our store uses Google Analytics for analytics purposes.

Where our use of analytics technologies requires your consent, those technologies will only be used in accordance with the choices you make through our cookie controls.

You can allow or decline Analytics through our cookie preferences.

7. Marketing and Advertising Technologies

With the required permission, we may use marketing and advertising technologies to measure the effectiveness of advertising, understand interactions with advertising and support the delivery or optimisation of advertising.

Our store uses technology associated with Meta, including Facebook and Instagram, for marketing and analytics purposes.

Depending on the technology and your interactions with our store, information may be used to measure events such as visits, interactions or purchases and to help assess or optimise advertising.

Our Meta integration is configured through Shopify to require Marketing and Analytics permission before its consent-controlled collection operates.

We may also use Shopify services that support marketing, advertising measurement and related functionality in accordance with the choices made through our privacy controls.

You can allow or decline Marketing through our cookie preferences.

8. Third-Party Services

Some cookies and similar technologies used in connection with our website are provided or operated by third parties.

Relevant providers currently include:

• Shopify — provides the ecommerce platform used to operate our online store and related functionality, including website, checkout, analytics, privacy and marketing-related services.
• Google — provides Google Analytics, which we use to understand website usage and performance.
• Meta — provides technologies associated with Facebook and Instagram that we use for marketing, advertising measurement and analytics where permitted.

These organisations may process information in accordance with their own privacy information as well as providing services to AC TOYZ.

Their use of information may vary depending on the service involved, your cookie choices and the settings of your accounts with those providers.

9. How Consent Affects Analytics and Marketing

For visitors in regions where consent is required, our website's privacy controls are used to manage permission for non-essential data collection.

Our Shopify customer-event integrations are configured so that relevant web pixels operate according to the permissions required for them.

For example, the Meta integration currently used by AC TOYZ requires Marketing and Analytics permission before its consent-controlled collection operates.

Declining optional cookies may therefore reduce the amount of analytics, personalisation or marketing data collected about your visit, but should not prevent you from using the essential functions of our online store.

10. Changing Your Preferences

You can review and change your choices after making an initial decision.

Use the Cookie preferences option available on our website to reopen the privacy controls and update your selections.

You may also be able to control or delete cookies using your web browser or device settings.

Browser controls are separate from the preferences provided by AC TOYZ, and blocking cookies through your browser may affect how some website features work.

11. How Long Cookies Last

Different cookies and similar technologies may remain on your device for different periods.

Some are session technologies, which expire when your browsing session ends.

Others are persistent technologies, which remain for a defined period or until they are removed, depending on their purpose and configuration.

The duration of individual technologies can also change when our ecommerce platform or third-party service providers update their services.

You can remove stored cookies using your browser or device controls.

12. Changes to This Cookie Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy where necessary to reflect changes to the technologies we use, our website, our service providers or applicable legal requirements.

When we make changes, we will update the Last updated date at the top of this policy.
